Midwest Jeepthing is teaming up with Southern Illinois Jeep Association (SIJA), and Mid Rivers Jeepthing (MRJT) for a cleanup in the Mark Twain National Forest. Since we quit running these trails due to Forest Service Revisions it has become a haven for trash dumpers and meth labs.
Cleanup is Saturday October 23- 10:00 a.m.
10:00 a.m. (Sharp!)
Meet at the Potosi Citgo at HWY 21 & HWY 8
We will travel from Citgo to Axlebreaker where a dumpster has been staged and break up into smaller groups from there.
Things to bring:
heavy leather or canvas gloves
If you don't have gloves go ahead and buy some they are great for trail building too.)
boots
(Protect your hands and feet. This trash is really sharp and sometimes you don't see it until you are on top of it.)
face masks if you have them
(Suff is stinky.)
small dolly with big wheels
(good for larger stuff)
cargo trailer
(If you have one we can always use more)
If you have GPS please download the waypoints from Rob's url below!
